Barbados has earned its reputation as one of the safest Caribbean Islands. Due to many factors including a stable economy, excellent education system, an active drug enforcement unit, plus the professionalism of the islands emergency service agencies. The Royal Barbados Police force, is one of the most highly trained and disciplined police forces in the region. Barbados emergency services are on call 24 hours, if needed please call:

Pool

 

  • No glass around the pool, use the plastic or acrylic glasses provided.

 

  • Shower before using the pool, there is an outdoor shower near-by

 

  • Children must be supervised at all times around the pool

 

  • Hours: 8:00am to 9:00pm

 

Non Smoking

 

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property.

 

 

Library       

 

Enjoy the books and magazines, leave them behind for others if finished, exchange with ones finished if you need to take one away.

 

Breakage

 

Normal wear and tear is expected but if you break it please report it.

 

Conservation 

 

Water and electricity are expensive in Barbados.  Please turn off when not in use.

 

Post Office

 

There is one in Speightstown and another at Holetown which is also located within the green Government buildings complex.

 

Power

 

Voltage in Barbados is 110 volts. British adapters convert UK to Bajan plugs, North American plugs fit the Bajan sockets – so 110/120v devices can be used.

 

Water

 

The tap water is safe and delicious to drink
